
LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., July 13, 2011 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced the appointment of Toru Nishizawa as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canon U.S. Life Sciences, Inc. In addition, Mr. Nishizawa will serve as the Executive Vice President for the Business & Technology Development Group for Canon Virginia, Inc.

Mr. Nishizawa, who resides in Virginia, began his career with Canon Inc. in 1980 upon graduation from the Tokyo Institute of Technology with a degree in management engineering. Most recently he held the position of Group Executive of the Office Imaging Products Business Support at Canon Inc. since 2009 and prior to that was President of Canon Giessen in Germany from 2004 until 2009.
