Our Mission 

Canon U.S. Life Sciences, Inc. (CLS) is developing next generation solutions for clinical diagnostics. Making this possible is the marrying of pioneering, U.S.-developed life sciences technologies with Canon’s own fully developed core technologies. The result is planned to be a fully differentiated, industry-standard product in the molecular diagnostic field — representing an entirely new and breakthrough business area for Canon.   

A subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc. CLS is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, strategically situated in one of the top three “biotechnology clusters” in the nation. CLS’ neighbors include the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland. The area, within commuting distance to Washington, DC, provides employees a uniquely vibrant “hybrid” environment of intellectual stimulation and productivity in the life sciences, and an array of technologies and facilities conducive to the attainment of corporate goals.
